In what was said to be a tongue-in-cheek speech at Leeds Trinity University, Logan also made a joke about athlete Paula Radcliffe, during an intriguing but refreshing public appearance.
After her speech, a spokesman for the BBC presenter said: "These people are friends and acquaintances of Gabby's who she has the utmost admiration for and the quotes clearly formed part of a humorous speech."
No harm done, then? But some memorable quotes nevertheless...
On Match of the Day host and former Spurs striker Lineker, Logan reportedly claimed that the public sees him as a crisp salesman not a footballer, before humorously adding "sorry, they see him as a broadcaster."
And the 40-year-old's story about Britain's no.1 tennis player went even further:
"I was a big fan [of Murray]," she said. "Then at the Olympics he had just won a silver with Laura Robson and he was the moodiest most miserable b****** I've ever met in my life because he only won a silver.
"If I wasn't on live telly I'd have gone 'cheer up'."
That was not all, however, with Logan going on to joke about former marathon runner Radcliffe:
"One guy tweeted and said 'my wife thinks Paula's dress is nicer than yours'. So I showed Paula and she p***ed herself. Again."
Few have probably seen such a side to the BBC presenter before - but it might just be a side the public would like to see more of, especially during appearances on comedy shows.
As for former England star Lineker, there be a comedic response awaiting Logan over Twitter some time soon...
