It has been quite a half of football in the Czech Republic capital.
After Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky had given the hosts an early lead in Prague, Norway quickly responded with a goal by Hoffenheim forward Tarik Elyounoussi.
The goals however weren’t to stop there as Matej Vydra fired in just before half-time to give the Czech’s a 2-1 lead heading in to the interval.
The 21-year-old is currently on loan at WBA from Italian side Udinese, and has already made a name for himself in England. During a loan spell with Watford last season, he was the standout player as he netted 20 goals in the Championship.
His domestic form was noted by the national team’s staff and has since become a regular fixture in the Czech side – this goal being his fifth in 10 appearances.
The goal itself was a bit of a scrappy one, as a corner kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and the ball fell to Vydra who had the simple task of netting from three yards out.
With Czech Republic missing out on the World Cup, their players will be eager to make an impression under new management and plan for the Euro 2016 Qualifying stage in high spirits.
