News, views and rumours relating to Manchester United in the past 24 hours.

Breaking news today is that Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has agreed a deal to join Inter Milan this summer with the Serie A giants confirming the move at the end of the season.

"Vidic is a world-class player," Inter president Erick Thohir told his club's website.

"I'm extremely happy to have completed this deal to bring Nemanja to Milan.”

In team news, United striker Javier Hernandez is ‘grateful’ for Mexico call up despite his belief that United ‘don’t take [him] into much account’.

"When you are called up, you have to be thankful and if not called up, you have to keep working,” Chicharito explained.

“I'm very eager to play as my club don't take me much into account. I hope I have the opportunity to play [for Mexico].”

Meanwhile, United legend Peter Schmeichel believes the players have let David Moyes down this season.

"I think he needs to sign a few players - how many I don't know! But I think, equally important, he needs to offload a lot of players. There's a lot of players there I'm very disappointed with,” he explained.

"To be a Manchester United player, that carries a responsibility. You fight, never give in, even on days when it's not happening for you, you still have to try.”

Elsewhere, Louis van Gaal has been linked with taking over from Moyes at Old Trafford if the Scot fails to turn the season around in the remaining 10 games in the Premier League.

In transfer news, United target Mathias Ginter is aiming for a ‘big move’ as United close in on a potential summer swoop for the German defender looking to him as a potential replacement for Vidic.
