All the news and gossip from The Emirates overnight and this morning.
The Welsh international started the season in electrifying fashion - and despite recent troubles with injury the Arsenal hierarchy are ready to reward his good form with a bumper new deal.
The contract is said to be more than what Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky are now on - while it will also surpass that earned by The Walcott.
The 23-year-old will be second in the pay structure to Mesut Ozil.
Santi Cazorla is also set to sign a new deal worth £80k-a-week.
Kim Kallstrom is all set to make his Arsenal debut after recovering from a fractured vertebra. The Swedish international signed on loan from Spartak Moscow on deadline day - but did so whilst suffering with an undiagnosed back issue.
The injury has ruled him out for now - but he could be back in time for the Everton game this weekend.
The more likely outcome is a return to match action in the game against Tottenham.
Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis believes that agents are making too much money in transfer deals.
He believes that agents receive far too big a cut of many transfer deals - especially in comparison to the players themselves.
In a press conference in Barcelona he said:
"Clearly there is a lot of money going to agents in these transfer transactions but I don't think we the clubs can abrogate responsibility. We are part of the problem as we are the ones agreeing to pay these amounts of money…Players should be making more money and that money not going to agents.”
Arsenal have reportedly joined the race for Marseille goalkeeper Steven Mandanda. The rumours suggest that Arsene Wenger now wants a front-line goalkeeper to rival 23-year-old Wojciech Szczesny - after his red card and subsequent gesture gave him doubts over his long term position as number one.
Atletico Madrid are also keen on the French international.
