Tiny Goalie: The successor to Flappy Birds?

If you like football, compulsive casual gameplay and pixel style graphics then Tiny Goalie is just the ticket.

Just a few days after launching, Tiny Goalie, a free to download game app for iOS and Android devices, is scoring success beyond initial expectations. Well received by reviewers, the app has been nominated for game of the week at Touch Arcade and has stormed into the no.1 sports game slot in Italy.

Early comparisons have been drawn between Tiny Goalie and previous gaming sensation Flappy Birds, despite being quite different games. Speaking on the matter Tiny Goalie Developer Anthony Barker notes that the similarities lie in, ‘the retro appeal and an easy to learn but hard to master gameplay experience’.

As opposed to manically flying a bird through gaps in pipes, Tiny Goalie sees you sliding left and right to stop footballs and dodge water bottles in the increasingly addictive quest to beat your high score.

Tiny Goalie comes from Brighton-based developers Fat Fish Games. To see the action for yourself check out the video below or go and download it from your devices app store.
