Thorgan Hazard’s agent John Bico has been left bitterly disappointed with Belgium side Zulte Waregem’s recent actions.

The Chelsea youngster has been at Zulte Waregem on loan for the past 18 months and has proven to be a valuable player for the Belgian Europa League contenders.

The attacking midfielder has been impressive this season, topping the club’s goalscoring charts with nine Jupiler League goals and recently winning the Belgian Golden Boot award.

His loan-club however have come under scrutiny from his agent John Bico following Zulte’s decision to block a proposed move to Anderlecht - arguably Belgium's biggest club. The Chelsea loanee is bounded to Zulte by contract, yet should the club wish to break off the loan deal, the option is viable.

Understandably, Chelsea and John Bico would prefer Thorgan Hazard to play at a higher level with Anderlecht, and according to Belgian paper Sportmagazine.knack.be, Zulte’s blockage has left John Bico reeling:

He said: "I deeply regret the attitude of Zulte Waregem in this affair."

"Thorgan has behaved professionally from the beginning. He has repeatedly told his coach during the internship that he wanted to leave.”

“He is always performing at its best level. He is one hundred percent professional.”

The representative continued, and decided to vent his anger at what he perceives as a lack of gratitude towards Chelsea:

"Zulte Waregem got Thorgan Hazard for zero euros, it's that simple. No rent for Chelsea, no commission for Bico."

"I had hoped that the board of the West Flanders would be correct and say: ‘We would like to keep Thorgan, but we will let him go and wish you good luck!’ but they lacked class and respect.”
