Nottingham Forest linked with two Premier League loans

Nottingham Forest are set to be in talks with Graham Dorrans and Adlene Guedioura about the possibility of loan deals for the pair.

Forest manager Billy Davies has stated he needs loan signings to bolster his side, after an injury list that has hit the promotion chasing club hard.

Forest are currently without the likes of Andy Reid, Henri Lansbury, Chris Cohen and Jack Hobbs, which has led to a wobble in their bid for Premier League football.

"We are searching, we are making calls about players, we are doing our research on players," Davies told the club website

"But we all know that the last thing we need to do is to bring in players who are maybe not at the right fitness level or who are looking to come here for other reasons.

"We want to bring in the right type, with the right character and the right mentality.

"We will keep looking. The chairman and I have spoken in the last few days with regards to the possibilities, not only in the UK but also elsewhere and not only for the loan window, but also for the summer.

"We will keep doing that, we do it every single day."

Former Forest man Adlene Guedioura has been linked with a move back to the City Ground following his summer move to Crystal Palace. Guedioura has fallen out of favour under new boss Tony Pulis and is said to welcome a move back to the Nottingham based club.

The Algerian is looking to get some regular playing time ahead of the World Cup campaign with his national side in Brazil. It looks as though Davies is looking for someone who knows about the club and the Crystal Palace man maybe the perfect fit.

Palace boss Tony Pulis kept his cards close to his chest about Guedioura when asked at his press conference;

"We have had loads of enquiries (about players), we will have to wait and see what happens," he explained

Another Premier League player Forest are said to in discussions with is West Brom's consistent midfielder Graham Dorrans. The Scottish international was in talks with Middlesborough and Forest in January over a move, but it was blocked by new manager Pepe Mel. It has resurfaced that Forest interested in taking Dorrans to aid their injury stricken squad.

There has also been rumours circulating for the last couple of days that Davies is in for West Ham starlet Jack Collinson, however Leeds United also in contention to secure the Welshman's signature.
