A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening

Right-back Kyle Walker has had to pull out of the England squad ahead of their friendly with Denmark this week with a groin injury. Walker has missed the last few Tottenham games recently.

Emmanuel Adebayor has told the Spurs website he was delighted for fellow forward Roberto Soldado after he grabbed the winning goal against Cardiff City on Sunday.

The Spaniard has been struggling for form of late, but Adebayor has said he is one of the best strikers around and the goal could prove to be key for him.

He said: “Strikers always go through difficult moments and he has been through that.

“You start doubting yourself and you think ‘when am I going to score again?’ A striker playing with confidence and without confidence is a very different thing, believe me.”

Erik Lamela could be returning to training soon according to reports in Argentina. Tottenham’s record signing has been struggling with a back injury lately but could be in line to return during the Premier League run in.

Goalkeeper Brad Friedel has been talking to TalkSport about Tottenham’s next run of fixtures which sees them face Chelsea, Benfica and Arsenal in the space of a week.

He said: “I think other teams will see us on the team sheet and know it’s going to be a tough game as well.

"These are games you can’t look ahead in twos or threes – the first one is going to be difficult enough at Stamford Bridge [against Chelsea]. So we’re going to have to be firing on all cylinders to get the result there.
