Nicklas Bendtner has admitted that he will depart the Emirates Stadium at the end of the current season.
Nicklas Bendtner has become something of a forgotten man at Arsenal, with the Denmark international surplus to requirements in North London.
The Scandinavian was used sparingly as a back-up to Olivier Giroud earlier in the season, but never really had the trust of the fans or seemingly Arsene Wenger this term.
With the emergence of Yaya Sanogo to compete with Giroud for the numebr nine spot, Bendtner has revealed he will leave Arsenal this summer.
“I do not plan to be at Arsenal after the summer,” he told Danish media outlet BT.
“I 'll try something else. I've give a lot of thought to what I want, but the important thing is that I need more playing time. I need to play to also keep my place in the national team.”
Bendtner will step out for Denmark against England at Wembley this week and will surely want to put himself in the shop window.
The Dane has stated that he feels fit and ready to be given a chance.
“I feel like I'm in a good shape,” he continued.
“I've been ready for a long time, but certain conditions at my club mean I have not played .
“It's not the best situation for me, when I'm not playing.”
Bendtner has had botched loan spells at Sudnerland and Juventus, while he was the target of other European sides in the summer.
However, with the Dane sitting on the sidelines for the bulk of the campaign, his time at Arsenal seems finally ready to come to an end.
