In what is credited by many as Hollywood's biggest night of the year, it seems only apt football is represented by some very well-known faces.
Unsurprisingly, one of the main culprits of spoof pictures on the internet was Manchester United manager David Moyes. More fans basked in the former Everton manager's dismay with Oscar pictures providing the perfect platform.
In truth Sir Alex Ferguson WAS actually at the Oscars, but unfortunately for Moyes, it wasn't to see him pick-up an award. In fact, the former United boss was their hoping to grab a minute with Daniel Day Lewis, who he described as a 'great actor'.
And with Oscar host Ellen DeGeneres tweeting what is being called the 'Selfie of the Century' by millions of people around the globe, it's not too surprising that most photoshoppers have chosen that particular image to play with.

Unfortunately for the Turkish national football team, no-one on the internet thought about their need for a laugh when putting up spoof images. However, they decided to take matters into their own hands and posted a picture they took themselves.
Chelsea and Manchester United defenders Phil Jones and John Terry didn't need to go to similar lengths, and as usual it was their infamous pictures that made the cut.
Phil Jones was photoshopped on top of Fight Club star Brad Pitt pulling one of his incredibly bizarre faces.
Whilst John Terry once again decided to bask in the glory of other Oscar winners by bringing along the Champions League trophy he lifted in 2012, despite not playing in the final.
