Give Arsenal Suarez, £4.5m and an apology - Fan creates online petition

An Arsenal fan has created a petition demanding that Luis Suarez be turned over to the North Londoners.

Arsenal fans have created a petition demanding Liverpool release Luis Suarez from what they consider ‘illegal holding’ by the Anfield club.

News broke this morning when John Henry confirmed Arsenal met the buy-out clause in Suarez’ contract on Merseyside last summer when they lodged a bid of £40 million and £1 which was knocked back by Brendan Rodgers’ club.

An Arsenal fan took to to demand that Liverpool hand over the striker to Arsene Wenger along with an apology and the princely sum of £4.5 million in competition.

“Luis Suarez is being kept illegally at Liverpool FC. Arsenal met Luis Suarez' £40m buyout clause yet Liverpool owner John W Henry LIED and said Luis Suarez did not have a buyout clause!”

“To: Liverpool Football Club Release Luis Suarez to Arsenal Football Club Sincerely, [Your name]” reads the petition.

Needless to say, Liverpool ignored that offer, and subsequently the clause, which kept Suarez at Anfield allowing him to win back the supporters and earn himself a new deal which he signed earlier in the summer.

At the time of writing 87 people had electronically signed the petition though it’s doubtful the attempts to prise Suarez away from Anfield will get anywhere.
