Manchester United loanee helped Pacos de Ferreira on their way to an important win.
It would be harsh to call it the Bebe effect, or even the Moyes effect, but since the United man was loaned to Pacos de Ferreira their fortunes have not been great.
The Portuguese club began the season in the Champions League qualifiers, only to be comprehensively beaten by Zenit St Petersburg.
They have not been able to build on their impressive third place finish in Portugal's Primeira Liga, and went into the weekend's game rooted to the bottom of the table.
Pacos remain bottom, but only on goal difference with three teams on 16 points at present, thanks to a 3-1 win over eighth placed Maritimo.
Loanee Bebe found the scoresheet, his third goal in six games - booked after for celebrating over-exuberantly.
Nice one, Bebe. The on-loan forward netted in the 85th minute to help Pacos de Ferreira to a 3-1 win vs Maritimo. pic.twitter.com/eNniQqzZXQ— Manchester United (@ManUtd) March 2, 2014
His exploits were not unnoticed by the official Manchester United twitter account, which congratulated him on the strike - which was his fifth of the season, while he also has two assists to his name.
Bebe still holds a contract at United until 2015, but it's hard to see him ever pulling on the shirt for the Red Devils in a competitive fixture again.
Yet at least United have shown he may be gone for now, but he is not entirely forgotten.
