PICTURE: Schurrle poses with matchball on Twitter after Chelsea hat-trick

Chelsea attacker bagged his first Chelsea hat-trick in the win over Fulham.

Posing with the matchball, Andre Schurrle could not be happier after lifting Chelsea to a 3-0 win at Fulham.

The German doubled his Premier League goal tally for the season in one match, after a quiet couple of months on a personal level.

Questions had begun to surface as to whether he could end up missing out on Germany's World Cup squad, and while he was called up for this week's friendly by Jogi Loew, an injury last week to Bayern's Thomas Muller and Julian Draxler also rested due to fitness reasons means we don't quite know the full picture yet.

He did himself no harm whatsoever against Fulham, answering the doubts, with Jose Mourinho describing him as 'cold-blooded' in front of goal.

Schurrle will surely hope he can add a couple more match balls to his collection before the season is out, and show he can be more than a bit-part player as Chelsea push towards the Premier League title.
