Arsenal boss subject of banner calling him a hypocrite at the Britannia.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was the subject of taunts from the Stoke crowd during their game at the Britannia today.
Fans in the home crowd lofted up a banner during the 1-0 home win, calling the Frenchman a 'hypocrite' regarding the Gunners' red card record.
Wenger has been critical of Stoke in recent seasons, ever since the tackle from Ryan Shawcross which broke Aaron Ramsey's leg in March 2010.
The two sets of fans have remained at odds ever since then, with Stoke fans feeling they are singled out for criticism while Arsenal's 100 red cards under Arsene Wenger gets overlooked by the media.
An article in the Stoke Sentinel ahead of the game revealed that Stoke have received fewer red cards, 81, in the time period since Wenger became Arsenal manager.
Wenger meanwhile had little complimentary to say about the penalty decision which led to Arsenal's loss, describing it as a 'nice gift' for the home side.
