Inter ready to rival Arsenal for Alvaro Morata – report

The Serie A giants have been linked with a move for the Real Madrid striker, who is being rumoured as a target for Arsene Wenger this summer.

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has caused quite the stir this week with his revelation that Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata could well be on his way to Arsenal this summer.

The Spain under-21 striker has found opportunities in the first-team at the Santiago Bernabeu hard to come by since the turn of the year, after rejecting the chance to leave the Spanish capital on loan in January.

With rumblings that Morata’s time with his boyhood club may well be coming to an end, Arsenal are reportedly ready to pounce.

However, given the Spanish centre forward’s pedigree, the Gunners seem certain to face competition for the star’s signature.

The latest reports in Spain are suggesting that Serie A side Inter are ready to go head-to-head with the Emirates Stadium outfit for Morata.

The Stadio Giuseppe Meazza outfit are in a rebuilding stage, and are believed to be ready to overhaul their squad this summer.

With the free transfer capture of Nemanja Vidic already confirmed, El Confidencial claim that Morata is next on the Nerazzurri’s hit list.

Inter have also been linked with Premier League full-backs Patrice Evra and Bacary Sagna in recent weeks.
