Alan Hansen laid into Arsenal's performance at Stoke on Match of the Day.
Alan Hansen did not hold back regarding Arsenal's display at the Britannia.
He felt Arsene Wenger's men did not turn up and bring the necessary fight required to compete, right from the off.
Speaking on Match of the Day, he stated:
"Their record at Stoke was abysmal. You've got to start quickly, they started slowly.
"Their passing was sloppy. Every second ball Stoke won. You know stoke are going to be competitive. After four minutes their hands were in the air.
"They were slow, they were at times laborious. They get bullied at Stoke. There's a fear factor.
"If I was to sum the performance up I would say abysmal."
Asked if they could win the league, Hansen replied simply: "No."
That may be the case, but the Gunners have to take one step at a time, and simply write this one off as a bad day at the office.
Next weekend they face Everton in the FA Cup at the Emirates, knowing a win will take them to Wembley to play into the semi-finals.
A win over the Toffees will give them the confidence boost they need for the rest of the month, and help them continue to believe silverware is achievable this season.
