Everton will look to get back to winning ways today following their dramatic late loss to Chelsea last week, but manager Roberto Martinez is without key defender Phil Jagielka for today's visit of West Ham.
The England international has sustained a hamstring injury which rule also rule him out of the Three Lions' midweek friendly against Denmark, and with the absence of Antolin Alcaraz too, Martinez is forced to play youngster John Stones at centre back.
The former Wigan boss welcomes Romelu Lukaku back today after a lengthy absence, but the Belgian is only fit enough to make the bench, with Steven Naismith continuing up front. Kevin Mirallas pays for some underwhelming displays of late, as Barcelona loanee Gerard Deulofeu starts today.
Meanwhile, West Ham have seemingly turned the corner in recent weeks and sit in 10th place in the Premier League table.
The Hammers are unchanged from the side that beat Southampton 3-1 at Upton Park last weekend, but Andy Carroll returns to the bench following a suspension. The upturn in form for Sam Allardyce's men has been largely down to Kevin Nolan's goals, and the Liverpudlian will be looking to score back in his hometown as West Ham seek to pull away from the drop zone.
