When Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes announced it was his intention to leave the Nou Camp when his contract expired this summer many a name was mentioned as a possible replacement for the stopper.
These are of course big gloves to fill - Valdes has been number one in Catalonia for 12 years now.
But it appears they have decided who should take on the role.
Just like the last time they brought in a keeper from abroad to take up the role - they are going German.
Marc Andre ter Stegen is one of German football’s most coveted talents and at just 21-years-old is certainly one for the future.
He announced he was leaving Borussia Monchengladbach back in January - and it was reported that he completed a secret medical in Barcelona during the past seven days.
But to be a goalkeeper for Barcelona you cannot just be a good shot-stopper - you also have to act as sweeper.
The German will be expected to be as comfortable with the ball at his feet as Valdes currently is - and based on the evidence of today Barca fans might be wondering if he is the man for the job.
He received a back-pass from team-mate Filip Daems that should have been relatively easy to control - but completely fluffed his lines and tapped the ball into his own net…
But at least he hasn’t done it before … oh, hang on a minute…
Usually ter Stegen is very good with the ball at feet - but Barca beware, he is prone to the odd howler…
