Left-back Maxwell has put pen-to-paper on a ne deal that will keep him with the Ligue powerhouses until June 2015.
Paris Saint-Germain have been signing their stars up to new contracts of late, with Thiago Motta and Blaise Matuidi extending their stay at the Parc des Princes.
The latest first-team star to commit to the current Ligue 1 leaders is defender Maxwell, who has prolonged his stay in the French capital for an extra year.
The Brazil international has been first choice at left-back this season and has revealed his happiness at extending his deal with Laurent Blanc’s men until the summer of 2015.
"I am very proud of the president Nasser Al Khelaifi's confidence in me," he told the club's official website.
"I will continue to give my all for the club and our supporters to pay back this confidence. Dream bigger!"
President Al Khelaifi also was full of praise for the former Barcelona and Inter defender.
"Maxwell is an exceptional player who has contributed greatly to the club since his arrival.
"I wished him to be a part of the project at Paris St Germain over the long term.”
PSG look odds on to win Ligue 1 this season and are also making progress in the Champions League.
With progression against Bayer Leverkusen all but after victory in the first leg, the French juggernaut will be a tough opponent in the quarter-finals.
