Bayern Munich were given a slight scare after an over the top challenge from Mario Mandzukic on Bastian Schweinsteiger.
There’s passion and enthusiasm in training and there’s getting carried away with the latter evident in one of Bayern Munich’s recent sessions.
Mario Mandzukic is the culprit and Bastian Schweinsteiger is the victim with the forward launching into a challenge on his vice-captain at the end of a recent session which created a few worried expressions on the faces of Bayern’s medical staff.
The challenge left the German needing ice immediately applied to his ankle as pictures captured him looking in a little bit of pain shortly after the incident.
However, before Arsenal fans get too excited, it appears to have just been a slight knock with Schweinsteiger ‘partially limping’ and taking part in some free kick drills right at the very end of the session.
There’s been no news that the slight injury has turned into anything more serious with the midfielder likely to feature in the two Bundesliga games against Schalke and Wolsfburg before the second leg against Arsenal.
