I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 27th February 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 27th February 2013…
It was a year ago to the day that Arsenal announced their official plans to erect a statue in honour of club legend Dennis Bergkamp at The Emirates Stadium.
The £7.5 million 1995 signing from Inter Milan is a hero at the club after scoring 120 goals in 423 appearances - and shaping the style of play that has gone on to epitomise the Arsene Wenger era.
And in the present day, it was just last weekend that said statue was actually unveiled to the public. A teary eyed Bergkamp spoke about the sculpture - that sees him mid-air, controlling the ball in his own deft manner.
One year! Took your time didn’t you fellas?
Interim one goes berserk
Rafa Benitez went off on one. Yes it is a year ago to the day that the ‘interim one’ finally snapped and had a go at everything Chelsea.
The Spanish boss was a universally unpopular choice with the Blues fans when he took over from the sacked Roberto Di Matteo earlier in the season.
And the ex-Liverpool coach stated:
"A group of fans, they are not doing any favours for the team when they are singing and wasting time preparing banners. It's because someone made a mistake. The put my title 'interim manager’ and I will leave at the end of the season, so they don't need to waste time with me. Why put interim in the title? Why did they need do that? Maybe they thought: "He was at Liverpool", so put interim in".
He went on to win the club the Europa League title and ensure them a place in the Champions League for the following season.
Not bad for an ‘interim boss’.
