Real Madrid smashed Schalke for six at the Gelsenkirchen, but the German side's last minute consolation has to be seen to be believed.
For the majority of those associated with Schalke, their first-leg match against Real in the Champions League knockout stage was one to forget.
As Cristiano Ronaldo notched the Spanish giant's sixth goal of the night in the 89th minute, it looked like one of the most one-sided fixtures this competition had ever seen
But just a minute later, former Real striker Klass-Jan Huntelaar provided a smidgen of delight for the home fans, with a quite spectacular 20 yard volley that swerved onto the underside of the bar and into the back of the net.
Former Ajax hotshot Huntelaar spent just 6 months in Madrid in 2009 following his move from Amsterdam, scoring 8 goals in 20 appearances before being sold on to AC Milan.
And the venom with which Huntelaar hit his thunderbolt for Schalke against his former club seemed to give him a chance to exercise any regrets he may have over the shortness of his Spanish stay.
