A round up of key news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

In transfer news, Ligue One club Monaco have been linked with interest in Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, report Talksport.

Monaco are one of the wealthiest clubs in Europe and reports from TalkSport have suggested they could make their interest official.

Lloris has been arguably the best goalkeeper in the Premier League this season so it’s no major surprise that sides are taking a look at him.

Spurs will offer central defender Jan Vertonghen a pay rise to stop him from leaving the club.

The Belgian recently refused to rule out leaving at the end of the season if Tottenham failed to finish in the top four and secure Champions League football.

The Metro has suggested the North Londoners will up his wage deal from £40,000 per week to get him to stay.

Head coach Tim Sherwood has called on his side to show more metal and determination in this week’s Europa League second leg against Dnipro.

Spurs currently trail in the tie 1-0 after Yevhen Konoplyanka scored from the penalty spot in the first game between the sides last week.

“We're going to need to be spirited to bounce back. We have to tighten up our entire performance. We have to show the character that we can bounce back,” said Sherwood.
