Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is back in training with the German side following a buttock injury.
The wide man has been pictured in a sole training session with a member of Bayern’s staff doing some resistance training as he aims to get back into the team as quickly as possible.
The burst blood vessel in the Frenchman’s backside kept him out of the Champions League last 16 first leg against Arsenal as his teammates coped admirably without him, securing a 2-0 win away in London.
Ribery now looks very likely to return for Bayern ahead of the second leg on March 11, with Bayern scheduled to play two Bundesliga games which will allow him to build his match fitness back up.
It would be understandable for Pep Guardiola to rest one or two key players for the second leg game but the fact Ribery hasn’t had any football over the last couple of weeks means he’ll be as fresh as a daisy.
The mountain Arsenal have to climb just got a little steeper.
