Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Joel Campbell's performance

Arsenal loanee Joel Campbell stole the show as Manchester United lost to Olympiakos.

Arsenal fans watched on in enjoyment as loan star Joel Campbell put Manchester United to the sword by scoring a spectacular goal in Olympiakos' Champions League win.

The Costa Rican is in his third spell on loan, having spent time at Lorient in Ligue 1, and Real Betis in La Liga before his switch to Greece.

With international goals against Spain and Wales on his CV, Campbell will rate the strike against Manchester United as perhaps his best yet, putting his side 2-0 up with one leg remaining.

Campbell, 21, tweeted after the game that the match was a 'night to remember', and he did his long-term prospects at the Gunners the world of good.

For many Arsenal fans it was the first time to watch the player in action over 90 minutes who they have heard a lot about but rarely seen save for the odd video clip. Campbell certainly didn't waste his opportunity on the big stage.

The goal was Campbell's only shot on goal during the game, which also saw him create one goalscoring opportunity and complete two successful dribbles as he caused a headache for Patrice Evra and the entire United defence.

His performance certainly impressed watching Gooners. Here's what they had to say via Twitter:
