The news is out, Samsung have unveiled their new Smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S5 and it comes packed with some great new features.
Samsung have announced that their latest addition to the Galaxy range Smartphones, the S5 and its going to be available globally within a few weeks.
The fifth generation Galaxy phone is packed full of the latest features and tech including a 16MP camera which has the world’s fastest auto-focus up to 0.3 seconds and something that many have been waiting a long time for, its dust and water resistant.
The Camera is something that Samsung have concentrated on, not only is it quick on auto focus it also has an advanced High Dynamic Range (HDR) so it is possible to reproduce natural light and colour with striking intensity at any time.
Also new is a Selective Focus feature. This lets you focus on a specific area of an object while simultaneously blurring out the background. Shallow depth of field (DOF) effect fans will enjoy this feature.
As with all advancements, Samsung have reported that the camera will have an enhanced menu and user interface so owners can effortlessly take, edit and share photos.
Data hungry users will be also pleased to hear that the 4G enabled phone also comes with a new 'Download Booster' which is a Wi-Fi technology designed to boost data speed by bonding Wi-Fi and LTE simultaneously.
Samsung say that no matter where you are, you are guaranteed to have the fastest available connection.
The phone should run very smoothly as it comes with a 2.5Ghz quad core processor and 2GB of RAM. Internal storage depending on the model selected is either 16 or 32GB as standard and comes with a micro SD slot for expanding it up to 128GB of storage.
The phone comes with a biometric fingerprint scanner for added security and its been announced that it will also be more efficient on battery life with an Ultra Power Saving Mode. This mode turns the display to black and white and shut down all unnecessary features to minimize battery consumption.
The battery is stated as having a standby time of 390 hours and a talk time of 21 hours.
Looks wise, its more refined, with a perforated back and a choice of four colours which are Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold. It also comes with a 5.2 inch full HD screen, weighs in at 145 grams and is only 8.1mm thick.
The phone will also be running Android’s 4.4.2 (Kitkat) operating system and will be out in April. Pre-orders are available now from most mobile providers.
