The internet is covered in stories today which suggest Liverpool icon Daniel Agger is fighting for his Liverpool future.
Brendan Rodgers reportedly has doubts over the Dane’s suitability to the back four he’s trying to create which has prompted the suggestion this could be his final season in Liverpool colours.
“Daniel Agger is fighting to save his Liverpool career with manager Brendan Rodgers fast losing faith in the defender. Agger was substituted after 63 minutes of Sunday’s 4-3 win over Swansea with the Liverpool manager later confirming he did not think the Denmark captain was up to coping with the physical presence of Wilfried Bony in the visitor’s attack,” writes Paul Joyce in the Express.
Where Agger could end up is open to debate as Manchester City tried buying him two years ago, Barcelona tried to buy him last summer and Napoli remain linked with him because of former boss Rafa Benitez. His contract runs until 2016 so if Liverpool decide to axe him, they will get a good fee in the process.
Our question to use is a simple one; should Liverpool sell Agger at the end of the season? Have your say now and vote below.
