United morning news: ‘Moyes met Kroos’ agent last week’; ex-keeper with warning

David Moyes In Emirates Press Conference

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Toni Kroos is the latest potential midfield saviour for Manchester United. He is in good company, but it seems David Moyes may be further along in his attempts to sign the German international than in the failed pursuits of the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Ander Herrera.

Italian website Tutto Mercato Sport reports that Moyes met with representatives of the Bayern Munich midfielder after their Champions League game against Arsenal last week.

If true, this would be at least the second time Moyes was in the same vicinity as Kroos’ agent, after he was pictured sitting with him during Bayern’s match against Borussia Monchengladbach last month.

You can be sure this one will run for some time yet.

In other news, former United goalkeeper Roy Carroll has warned them his current side Olympiakos believe they can get the better of them in Europe.

The two sides face each other in the last-16 of the Champions League, and Carroll told the BBC:

Manchester United are having a bad time of it at the moment and our players have belief in themselves.

“We believe we can do well in these two games, and we feel we can get at them.”
