Blockbuster title scores big on consoles as it rules the box office.
Benefitting from the half-term break, the title beat off advances made by the price-cut FIFA 14, which was boosted by 22% to climb to second place and knocked Call of Duty: Ghosts down from first to third.
FIFA 14 wasn’t EA’s only old-gen PS3 and Xbox 360 title to benefit from a price cut, with Battlefield 4 climbing three spots to claim fourth place, followed by regular chart faces Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Minecraft Xbox 360, GTA V and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Nintendo’s Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was the highest placed debut title at ninth, followed by Ubisoft’s resurgent Rayman Legends, which saw the addition of the PS4 and Xbox One formats bump the title up 23 places to number 10.
