A round up of this morning’s news stories about Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho has ruled out making a move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Blues have been linked with making a move for the superstar Swede in recent reports but Mourinho doesn’t think a deal will happen.
“Ibrahimovic? It's impossible. He's happy in Paris. I know because we are friends,” said the Chelsea boss.
Another striker the Blues may struggle to get their hands on is Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa.
The Daily Mail has reported that Tottenham are ready to get involved in the scrap for the £32 million rated forward at the end of the season.
Reports suggest Tim Sherwood is keen on the striker and that Spurs can afford the fee alongside Chelsea.
Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is touch and go to be fit for the Champions League game against Galatasaray.
The Nigerian international was one of several Chelsea stars who voiced their delight over a reunion with former Blue Didier Drogba but Mikel may not be fit in time for the trip to Turkey.
“With Mikel and David Luiz, I don't know if they can recover. It's important we have at least one of them because we don't have (Nemanja) Matic for the Champions League,” said Mourinho.
