All the latest news, views and transfer rumours from the Emirates Stadium…
Sky Sports have published quotes from former player Ray Houghton, who was watching their game against Sunderland on Saturday.
The Gunners beat Sunderland 4-1 at the Emirates to keep up the pressure on Chelsea at the top of the table, and Houghton believes the result was vital after a disappointing spell for the Gunners.
“You can see that the games in March and the first week of April are going to be the defining matches as far as Arsenal are concerned.”
In other news, Arsene Wenger has said he is “absolutely adamant” Tomas Rosicky will remain at the club next season.
In quotes published by the BBC, Wenger said, “Tomas Rosicky will stay. We have an agreement with him and it will come out soon.
“He always makes things happen, not with individual dribbling but with individual acceleration of his passing and of his runs.”
The news is surely to be welcomed by all Arsenal fans, given the way the Czech midfielder has been performing this season.
And finally, former Gunner Samir Nasri has been speaking about the club’s cup woes, and warning his current club Manchester City not to follow the same path.
“I have the experience of losing the Carling Cup with Arsenal,” he said in quotes published in the Metro.
“After that we only won two games in the league.”
He hopes City have a happier time when they face Sunderland next month.
