115-goal Arsenal striker: Man United have best attack in the league

Alan Smith, who played for the Gunners for eight years, has been full of praise for the Old Trafford club’s forward line.

It has been a season to forget for Manchester United, who have fallen from Premier League champions to a side in transition that is struggling to finish in the top four.

Despite the Old Trafford outfit’s well-documented problems, David Moyes has plenty of attacking options at his disposal.

Despite the potency of the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool, former Arsenal striker Alan Smith has been praising United’s attacking options.

The retired forward, who played for the North London club for eight years, scoring 115 goals, has stated that the Red Devils have the best attacking options in the division.

“In truth, that front four (Van Persie, Rooney, Mata), including Januzaj, is good enough to pick holes in any defence,” he wrote in his column in The Telegraph.

“In terms of sheer ability, rivalled only by Liverpool in the Premier League. That must act as great comfort for the under-fire Moyes.”

There still are question marks over where Mata should be used to best utilise the Spaniard, but there are no doubts that the front four have incredible individual ability.
