William Gallas has been signed as a glamour addition for Australia’s Perth Glory and made a terrible blunder in a loss this weekend.
The 36-year-old moved to the Australian club last year, and his addition was treated with excitement in the A-League.
However, the former France international’s experience was not on show in the Glory’s 2-0 defeat to Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday, as a horrendous mistake from Gallas led to an opposition goal.
The comical fresh air shot in the 69th minute allowed Tomi Juric to bag Wanderers’ second goal and effectively end the game as a contest.
Gallas was always a temperamental player while in England, and errors started to creep into his game after moving to White Hart Lane.
