A select round-up of news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

The Mail on Sunday reports that Tim Sherwood’s future as Tottenham manager does not depend on Champions League qualification this season.

Rumours have surfaced in recent weeks linking a number of big-name managers with the White Hart Lane hot-seat, but the latest story suggests his fate will be decided on how he performs between now and the end of the season. In short, if he shows he has the ability to manage Spurs for the long haul.

The report also states that a review of Sherwood’s performance will be carried out in the summer.

Spurs face Norwich City this afternoon, and defender Michael Dawson has warned the Canaries not to expect an easy ride.

In quotes published by the Daily Star Sunday, Dawson said, “We are hopefully going to go to Norwich and get back to winning ways because we have been good on the road this season.

“Everyone is playing for something and there is not one team in the Premier League that is not fighting for survival or European football for next season.”

In early team news for today's match, the BBC reports that Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to play despite suffering a leg injury, while Aaron Lennon, Kyle Walker and Hugo Lloris are all expected to return to the starting line-up after being rested for the Europa League last week.
