Domenico Criscito has stated that he wants to leave Zenit St Petersburg this summer, with an ideal move being to San Paolo.
One area that Tottenham will look to strengthen this summer is left-back, with the White Hart Lane club not having a convincing option in the position currently.
Although a lot of potential targets have been mentioned over the last six months, Zenit St Petersburg star Domenico Criscito is a name that is regularly linked with the North London club.
The Italian full-back has been impressing in Russia, but the chances of Tim Sherwood’s club signing him have taken a blow.
Criscito has stated that he wants to leave Zenit this summer, but is eyeing up a move back to his homeland.
“Genoa? One day I’d like to return, I feel at home there.”
With Criscito’s comments in mind, it appears unlikely that the Italian would move to England, leaving Spurs to pursue other options.
