I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 23rd February 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 23rd February 2013…
Arsenal star Jack Wilshere was enjoying a rich spell of form at the club - after finally putting his injury problems behind him.
And he wanted to play week-in-week out - as rumours of him being on the brink of being handed the Arsenal captaincy gathered momentum.
Wenger was still taking it easy when it came to game time for Wilshere - because of his previous injury issues.
It was also reported that Arsene was ready to give him the captain’s armband from next season - replacing Thomas Vermaelen.
However that never happened - and Mikel Arteta now seems to have the accolade.
Juan Mata was gushing about Chelsea. The Spaniard was speaking in depth with The Telegraph about his past 12 months - and sounded like a very content footballer:
“Last season, winning the Champions League and the FA Cup and after that the European Championship with Spain was almost a perfect year. The good thing and the thing I have to think about is that I am still young and I want to win as much as I can. I can’t stop myself and think, ‘I won this and that’. No, this season I want to win again and the next season again and also to be a better player than I am this season.”
However,a year later and Mata is a Manchester United player.
A lot can change in 12 months.

Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa claimed that Liverpool had tried to sign him in the winter transfer window. The AC Ajaccio stopper stated:
“My agent had contact with Liverpool but there is nothing concrete. I hope this summer there will be some offers and I will analyse if it is the right time for me to leave Ajaccio. It will be difficult to choose between Liverpool, Milan, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter, Bayern, Dortmund. It depends on how everything happens, I’ll then choose the best one regarding all aspects.”
He is still at Ajaccio.
