For a time it appeared Liverpool were going to throw away a vital three points in the race for the Premier League title.
After going 2-0 up inside 20 minutes (through Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson), a quick-fire double from Jonjo Shelvey and Wilfried Bony brought Swansea City level at Anfield.
Sturridge then continued his outstanding recent form to grab his second and the Reds' third. But a Bony penalty two minutes after the interval meant the Swans were on the verge of securing a precious point.
But Henderson had other ideas, and with 16 minutes of normal-time remaining, he stabbed home his second and gave Liverpool a victory the importance of which may only be measured at the end of the campaign.
The England midfielder was immense throughout, having four shots (all on target), playing one key pass and having a pass-completion rate of 88%.
He also won two tackles, made three interceptions and completed one clearance to show just how many strings there are to his particular bow.

In short, Henderson was an integral part of Liverpool's victory, and after the match we took to Twitter to see what the fans thought.
It is no surprise that they were full of praise for the 23-year-old, and you can read a selection of the tweets below:

Jordan Henderson has such great passion for the badge. Must be a potential vice captain, especially given Agger's injuries and form #LFC— Blaine Stewart (@BlaineStewart89) February 23, 2014
