Following Arsenal’s 2-0 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich at the Emirates on Wednesday, a video of Mathieu Flamini launching into a verbal tirade on Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil went viral.
Flamini is said to have been angry at Ozil's perceived lack of effort running back, rushing over to tell the German international exactly what he thought of the situation.
The Frenchman has a history for being a bit wild when it comes to crunching tackles and riling up the opposition, as demonstrated by his poor disciplinary record of six yellow cards and one red in just 14 Premier League starts. He can also be firm with his team-mates when the occasion demands it.
On the Arsenal training ground Friday, pictures were taken of Arsenal duo Flamini and Jack Wilshere apparently confronting each other, with The Daily Mail reporting a 'training flashpoint'.
Upon hearing that the alleged spat had become public, however, Wilshere immediately took to social networking site Twitter and played down the incident:
Just read I had a 'bust up' in training today! That's news to me! Anyway....who would mess with Flamini? #Nutter— Jack Wilshere (@JackWilshere) febrero 21, 2014
It was a good decision by the England international to quickly laugh-off the rumours, as a media circus are the last things that Arsenal needs following a tough couple of weeks both on and off the field.
The Arsenal duo then Tweeted another picture, proving that their relationship remains as tight as ever.
Is Mathieu Flamini’s 'wild side' a positive for the Gunners ?
