The St James’ Park manager has dismissed rumours that Mathieu Debuchy could be on the move in the summer.
Talk of an exodus at Newcastle this summer has been doing the rounds, with Yohan Cabaye’s sale potentially sparking some of his countrymen to be offloaded also.
One man that has been linked with a Tyneside exit is Mathieu Debuchy, who has been rumbled as a target for both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
The international right-back was quoted as stating that he was considering his future in French media, but Alan Pardew has no concerns that Debuchy could be on the move this summer.
"I don't think the quotes are accurate, something can get lost in translation," Pardew is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"I have spoken to him, he is very happy at the club, he signed for four years and he is an important player who has done well and improved as he has gone along.
"I have no worries about those comments. You do never know in football. We are looking to change and strengthen in a lot of positions next year but that won't be one of them."
Debuchy has also been mentioned as a possible target for Arsenal, who could well be in the market to replace Bacary Sagna this summer.
