Manchester City will look to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Barcelona in midweek with a win against Stoke City.
Manuel Pellegrini has stuck with Martin Demichelis in the heart of the City defence despite his red card on Tuesday night, but Jesus Navas and Gael Clichy have paid the price for lacklustre displays.
Aleksandar Kolarov features in his natural left back position, and Samir Nasri's lively performance having come on as a substitute against Barcelona has earned him a starting role.
Edin Dzeko also features up front alongside Alvaro Negredo as City go for goals at home, which they have been superb at all season long.
Stoke boss Mark Hughes makes a return to the Etihad Stadium having previously managed City, and could be looking for another draw having earned a 0-0 result against Pellegrini's side in September.
Defender Robert Huth is still missing, but Hughes will be looking to Charlie Adam to continue his impressive form, having bagged two in Stoke's recent win over Manchester United.
