Here is how Crystal Palace and Manchester United will line-up for this afternoon’s match at Selhurst Park:
Crystal Palace starting XI: Speroni, Ward, Delaney, Dann, Parr, Puncheon, Jedinak, Ince, Ledley, Chamakh, Murray
Subs: Hennessey, Gabbidon, Dikgacoi, Bannan, Bolasie, Gayle, Jerome
Manchester United starting XI: De Gea, Smalling, Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Fellaini, Carrick, Januzaj, Mata, Rooney, van Persie
Subs: Lindegaard, Fletcher, Giggs, Valencia, Kagawa, Young, Hernandez
Following the news that Wayne Rooney has agreed a new deal at Manchester United, it is now time for him and his teammates to show what they can do on the pitch.
It is one thing agreeing long-term deals and making club-record signings, but David Moyes’ United legacy will be determined by results, and he cannot afford any more slip-ups.
A visit to Crystal Palace is never easy, but under Tony Pulis the Eagles have become a far tougher proposition, and you can be sure they will be confident going up against the reigning champions in today’s late kick-off.
That said, Pulis’s record at Stoke City against today’s opponents was not great, as he took just a single point from 10 league encounters.
Palace have not beaten United in the league since 1991, but they are currently in the midst of a four-game unbeaten run at home in the league, so who knows what today could bring?
What do you think the result will be this evening?
