League leaders Chelsea kick-off this weekend’s Premier League fixtures with a home match against Everton.
The Toffees will not have given on a Champions League place, despite the good form of those teams ahead of them, so expect this afternoon’s match to be very close. Given that Everton beat Chelsea at Goodison Park earlier this season, there is scope of either a double or a slice of revenge.
That said, the Blues have not lost a home game to Everton in their last 18 encounters, and they have scored more goals against today’s visitors than any other team in their history – 261.
John Terry returns for the hosts, but David Luiz is injured and will set this one out. Roberto Martinez is unable to call on Romelu Lukaku, who is ineligible to play against his parent-club.
What do you think the result will be this afternoon?
