A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
The Express has suggested that Tottenham and Chelsea will go head-to-head to sign Marseille’s Florian Thauvin.
The 21-year-old only moved to the Ligue One club last summer and is already being linked with a high profile move away from Jose Anigo’s side.
Spurs are reportedly confident they can tempt him away to White Hart Lane after the World Cup in the summer.
In another transfer rumour, Spurs are being linked with a move for on loan Chelsea star Patrick Bamford.
Bamford has been putting in a number of impressive performances for Derby County in the Championship.
The Metro claims Spurs will make a move to sign the highly rated 20-year-old at the end of the season.
Tottenham head coach Tim Sherwood has reacted furiously at the state of the pitch in yesterday’s Europa League defeat at Dnipro.
Spurs went down 1-0 in the first leg of their tie against the Ukrainian team with Sherwood furious after the final whistle.
“I think the pitch is a disgrace, it's no excuse because both teams have to play on it, but it's possibly the worst pitch I've ever experienced for a long, long time,” he told reporters.
