I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 21st February 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 21st February 2013…
BBC Sport revealed that Arsene Wenger’s job was safe despite rumours of a potential exit. Wenger had seen his role at the club become increasingly under scrutiny after a poor run of form culminated in a 3-1 home defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
It came ahead of the clubs highly anticipated board meeting - where rumours of a potential show of faith for Wenger were said to be potentially on the agenda.
However no comment was made as he still had the full support of the board.
He went on to take more Premier League points than any other manager in 2013 - but silverware still eludes him.
Chelsea tied up the signature of highly rated Chilean youngster Cristian Cuevas from O’Higgins. The deal for the 17-year-old was worth a fee in the region of £3 million and would be completed in the summer of 2013.
He said of the deal:
“Everything went quickly and was resolved within a week.”
How has his year been?
He is currently struggling to get a game on loan at second division Dutch side FC Eindhoven after a similarly ineffective spell at Vitesse Arnhem earlier in the season.
Not great then - let’s hope the future is brighter.
No Europa Zenit for Liverpool
Liverpool were dumped out of the Europa League by Zenit St Petersburg - despite a resolute performance at Anfield.
The Reds had lost the opening leg in Russia 2-0 - so knew they face an uphill battle on Merseyside.
They scored three goals, two courtesy of Luis Suarez and the other from Joe Allen, but unfortunately Hulk’s 19th minute strike proved a vital away goal - so Liverpool failed to progress to a meeting with FC Basel.
