Tottenham get their own players' names wrong on Twitter

Tottenham’s official Twitter account appeared to be having some technical difficultly in remember their own players’ names.

The Spurs official Twitter account posted pictures of their stars on the plane to face Dnipro in the Europa League clash they lost 1-0 on Thursday.

Hours before the game, on the plane, the club’s official account @SpursOfficial posted the above glaring oversight.

The photo actually depicts Nacer Chadli and Zeki Fryers, not, as the Tweet suggests Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado who actually appear here in this shot which they uploaded later to the account.

The players don’t even particularly resemble each other in likeness which would suggest the club were merely experiencing a technical difficulty.

Spurs had difficulty on the pitch on Thursday night with manager Tim Sherwood calling the Dnipro pitch a 'disgrace' after the 1-0 defeat. The real Roberto Soldado miss-kicked from four yards out with the game still at 0-0 before the hosts took advantage with an 81st minute penalty scored by Yevhen Konoplyanka after Jan Vertonghen fouled Matheus in the penalty area.
