Liverpool morning news: Suarez enjoying best season, Ibe set for loan spell

A selection of the latest stories surrounding Liverpool Football Club this Friday morning

Luis Suarez has said he can achieve all of his dreams at Liverpool Football Club and has said he is currently enjoying the best season of his career.

In an interview with the Liverpool Echo, Suarez said he wants to reward the fans and the club for standing by him after it seemed as if he would leave the club in the summer, where he famously tried to force through a move to Arsenal.

Suarez said: ‘I think this has been the best season of my career so far. It’s my job to score goals and create goals, and help the team.

‘When you have really good team-mates and a manager who believes in you then it helps so much with your job.

‘For me, stepping on to the pitch knowing I have the confidence of the supporters means everything to me as a player. They help me to give my best.’

Winger Jordon Ibe could be set for a spell on loan, with the Daily Mirror reporting that Birmingham City could be interested in him.

Brendan Rodgers has spoken of the need for the 18-year-old to get some game time this season, and the Championship side could offer him that.

The Mirror is also reporting that Glen Johnson should be available to play in this Sunday’s game against Swansea City after spending a few weeks on the sidelines with ankle and groin problems.

Rodgers has said the defender has responded well to treatment in recent weeks after being ruled out ‘indefinitely.’
