The favourite to replace Brian McDermott at Leeds boss is reported not to be involved with the club any more.
According to McDermott, Gianluca Festa has now gone. #lufc— Lee Thompson (@lufcThommo) February 20, 2014
Gianluca Festa was supposedly the man to take over the role as Leeds United manager when McDermott was inexplicably sacked on deadline day causing a huge backlash from supporters.
Despite Brian McDermott being reinstated just hours after his sacking was made public, he still couldn't clarify his future and admitted that the reported replacement to his role at the club WAS at the training ground upon his return.
Cellino is waiting on ratification from the Football League before he can be officially confirmed as Leeds United manager, however, his son has been snapped in a Leeds United shirts and his daughter, well, let's just say she caused a stir with an Instagram picture at Elland Road showing Leeds fans what they can expect to see more of.
It seems the Italian is confident of being allowed to take charge at Leeds and for the minute, it looks like McDermott's job could be safe.
Leeds are in desperate need of a near perfect end to the season, if they are to claim a play-off spot and with Middlesbrough away on Saturday, they face another side desperate for points.
I can only assume that McDermott and Cellino, if named owner, will have one eye on next season and a bide their time for a much more substantial push for promotion.
