Fiore: Swansea's fans are biggest weapon

Former Italy international Stefano Fiore has warned Napoli that Swansea's passionate home support could test them this evening.

Napoli are favourites as they take on Swansea City in the Europa League at the Liberty Stadium, but Stefano Fiore believes the home crowd could unsettle the Italians.

Rafa Benitez's side are on ominous form at present having beaten Roma 3-0 in the Coppa Italia and defeated Sassuolo 2-0 away to maintain their Scudetto challenge.

The Partenopei have also been excellent in Europe this season and were unlucky to miss out on Champions League progress despite picking up 12 points in a group with Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.

While Napoli are widely expected to progress from their Europa League tie with Swansea, former player Fiore feels the atmosphere could be a shock.

"Napoli must be careful of the atmosphere," Fiore said on Radio Crc.

"Swansea's players aren't exceptional but they are of a decent level and the supporters will be their hardest enemy.

"Napoli are considered one of Europe's big teams and Swansea will try and get a prestigious victory in front of their fans.

"However, Napoli are certainly better on a technical level and I think they can get through over two legs.

"They may need to buy some defenders to compete at the very top but their midfield and attack are formidable."
