Mesut Ozil is as expected named in Arsenal's starting line-up to face Bayern Munich, with the eyes of the world watching to see if he can answer his critics.
He has been slated in some quarters for not performing in the big games, with The Sun even calling him a 'flop' on a recent back page.
Ahead of the fixture with Bayern, SkySports pundit Jamie Redknapp has also had his say on the German, also laying into his recent performance against Liverpool in Arsenal's 5-1 defeat a fortnight ago.
He said: "When he first arrived he gave everyone at the club a lift. I wouldn't say he was one of the top player at the start, but he had an effect on the players around him.
"At Anfield he was the worst player on the pitch. His performance levels have dropped, he cost his team a couple of goals. He needs a big game."
All the recent criticism of Ozil has been highlighted in his native Germany, and he will be extra keen to impress against a Bayern Munich side which features many of his international teammates.
The club's record signing has no goals and one assist in his past 10 games, and tonight against Bayern is the perfect opportunity to start putting that right.
