Portuguese winger Nani has been linked with the Manchester United exit for some time. And despite recently agreeing a new long-term deal, those rumours have not desisted.
Reports in January claimed Italian side Juventus were interested in the player; while a return to his former club Sporting Lisbon was also mooted.
But having been side-lined by injury, the 27-year-old remained at Old Trafford.
The latest story – from website Tutto Mercato Web – claims Nani has now arrived in Italy with what they term “a member of his entourage”.
They report that Nani touched down in Bologna on Wednesday morning, and that a potential move to either Juventus or their Serie A rivals AC Milan could be back on the cards in the summer.
It is not until the end of the report that they reveal the real reason for Nani’s trip to Italy, where they say he is “engaged in rehabilitive care” as he continues his recovery from the hamstring injury that is likely to keep him out until March.
As for his future, expect the rumours to start again as soon as the current campaign comes to an end.
